Protergia is MYTILINEOS Electricity and Natural gas provider, the largest private energy company in Greece, and is active in the supply of electricity and gas by offering modern and reliable services. Protergia offers combined electricity and gas products and serves more than 330.000 electricity supply account numbers throughout the country.
The sophisticated way Protergia offers its products, the innovation in its services and the green design focus with friendly service, paves a new way to energy for thousands of households and businesses.
Protergia collaborated with Umobit to revamp their website and enhance their online presence. This case study explores the collaboration between Protergia and Umobit, highlighting the objectives, approach, and outcomes of the project.

The Task
Protergia approached Umobit with the task of redesigning and developing their website to provide a simple, seamless and engaging user experience. The primary objectives were to create a modern and responsive website by enhancing the website’s aesthetics, improving its functionality, and ensuring a user-friendly interface that not only complements the customers’ experience but also aligns with Protergia’s brand identity. Furthermore there was a need for an informative website that would effectively provide consistent information on the entire energy spectrum while showcasing Protergia’s sophisticated and straightforward retail activity. Last but not least the new website had to reflect Protergia’s commitment to sustainability and energy autonomy by presenting its innovative and environmentally friendly services for home and business customers.

The Approach
Umobit took a strategic and collaborative approach to fulfill Protergia’s requirements and achieve the desired outcomes. The project started with comprehensive research and analysis of Protergia’s target audience, competitors, and industry trends. Umobit’s team worked closely with Protergia’s team to understand their brand values, goals, and desired website functionalities. This collaborative process laid the foundation for the website’s design and development.
During the design phase, Umobit incorporated Protergia’s branding elements, colors, and imagery into wireframes and mock-ups. The goal was to create a visually appealing website with a clean and professional look. Umobit’s development team utilized modern web technologies and industry best practices to ensure seamless user experience across devices and browsers. They implemented intuitive navigation, interactive elements, and optimized page loading times to enhance user engagement. The smart user interface was designed to be current, upbeat, and user-friendly, allowing visitors to easily find the information they need. The website also incorporated smart applications, automations, and call-to-action features such as online bill payment, application stage check points, and easy-to-fill Protergia contact forms. Various means of communication, including a chatbot service and a Click2Call service, were provided to facilitate interaction with Protergia. Additionally, a news section was incorporated to keep visitors informed about the latest developments of Protergia.

The Result
The collaboration between Protergia and Umobit resulted in a successful website redesign project that
exceeded expectations. The new Protergia website (www.protergia.gr) reflects the company’s brand identity
while providing an intuitive and informative platform for users. The key outcomes achieved through this
collaboration include:

responsive design, ensuring an engaging experience for visitors across various devices.
